iva Productions, Inc. was founded in 1995 by Angela Shelf Medearis and her sister Marcia Orlandi, to expand on the concepts and work originated by Mrs. Medearis. The company has expanded to produce several educational videos including the popular Story Time video series, children's books and a docu-drama written and directed by Mrs. Medearis entitled "Always A Bridesmaid".

Noted as "one of the most influential writers of children's literature", by Texas Monthly magazine, Mrs. Medearis's desire to write books for children who had difficulty reading has blossomed into an award-winning career that spans over a decade. In addition to the publication of over 70 children's books and three cookbooks, with sales exceeding 5.5 million copies worldwide, she founded Book Boosters, a non profit 501(c) (3) literacy organization. Currently, she serves as a reading consultant with Macmillan/McGraw-Hill Company.

Mrs. Medearis is constantly in demand as a speaker. Recently, she accompanied First Lady Laura Bush to visit an elementary school in Washington, D. C. She has addressed over 75,000 people across the United States and Europe. Diva Productions created the Story Time Video and Audiocassette series to meet the numerous requests of schools and libraries for public appearances by Mrs. Medearis. The videos and audiocassettes capture her unique storytelling style and engaging personality.

Marcia Orlandi, President of Diva Productions, Inc. oversees the marketing and administration of the company. A veteran of the real estate brokerage industry, she left a position at the leading homebuilder in the nation at the pinnacle of her career. Achieving over 30.5 million in real estate sales, Mrs. Orlandi's career began as part of a family-owned company owned by their father, Howard L. Shelf, at the age of nineteen. Her background and demonstrated expertise in marketing and sales is an excellent complement to her sister's writing and creative talents.

Michael Medearis serves as the Distribution and Production manager for the company. He has co-written more than 10 books with his wife, Angela. His specialty is non-fiction research and writing. He enjoys projects that focus on history and culture. His titles include THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN ARTS SERIES: MUSIC, DANCE and ART, DAISY AND THE DOLL, and a number of educational textbooks and articles.

Diva Productions, Inc. has created a unique niche in the world of multi-cultural products and entertainment and is the sole source provider of the Story Time Video and Audiocassette tapes.
